Description
Program Management Leadership - (PML) is an accelerated course designed for business and technical professionals with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading projects or programs. Futurists point to disruptive digital technologies, the ability to attract and retain top talent, and disruptive innovation outpacing the ability to compete as top business risks over the next decade. With increasingly sophisticated tools for automating traditional project management skills, it is more important than ever for Program Managers to engage proactively with business managers and executives to develop business strategies that drive project portfolios. Program Managers must evolve abilities to critically evaluate and forecast potential challenges while navigating the complexities of delivering high value outcomes. Instructor(s):
Mr. Dave Snider is a project management consultant with over 35 years of experience leading complex projects in the high technology industry. Dave thrives in discovering innovative methods to deliver business results. Beginning his career at Hewlett Packard as a Facilities Project Manager, he led R/D infrastructure projects for semiconductor process research and development. He then joined the emerging HP inkjet printer business leading a diverse portfolio of projects and programs to expand (and sometimes contract) technology and production capability in North America, Europe, and Asia. His program team opened the first high volume semiconductor wafer fab in Singapore producing inkjet components for a growing global demand. In the largest company separation in corporate history, in 2015 he co-led a global workstream tasked with separating over 600 site locations that would become the two distinct companies of HP, Inc. and the new Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Dave holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University and an M.S. in Management in Science & Technology from Oregon Health & Science University. He is also a certified Project (PMP) and Program (PgMP) Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
