Instructor(s):

Colonel (Retired) Ben Leitzel has over 15 years' experience as an Assistant Professor developing and delivering joint professional military education courses (Army War College and Joint Forces Staff College). He directed senior-leader cyberspace education at the U.S. Army War College where he led the college's cyber working group, instructed cyberspace electives, and published cyberspace guides and case studies. During his career, he established close partnerships with military and civilian leaders around the world, leading educational events in Austria, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, and Serbia. His 28-year Air Force career included duty as a bomber weapons systems officer and electronic warfare officer (B-1 and B-52). Col Leitzel was a plans and policy staff officer at headquarters U.S. European Command. He flew combat missions over Serbia and Kosovo during Operation Allied Force and was a NATO International Security Assistance Force staff officer in Afghanistan. Ben graduated from Parks College of Saint Louis University and holds a Master's Degree from Embry-Riddle University.
