IT would be an understatement to say that one needs to keep current in his or her field in order to excel in their profession.  One of the best ways to keep current would be ongoing technical training.  This training could come from Applied Technology Institute (ATI), or from any of our fine competitors.

ATI recognizes that budgets may be tight where you work, and ATI is trying to help you be a better steward of your employer’s limited funds.

One way to save your company money is find FREE technical training.  Another way to save your company money is to ensure that technical training budgets are spent wisely; making sure you are taking the right training, and making sure you are doing it with a provider that provides excellent training, relevant training, and an excellent instructor.

ATI Free-Sessions accomplish both of these requirements.  The ATI Free-Sessions are free one-hour webinars presented during your lunch hour ( EST ) by a course instructor, giving an overview of the course that he or she teaches.  So, how do these Free-Sessions allow you to stretch your companies training budget?

  • The Free-Sessions are FREE, so there is no cost to you, or your employer, for attending.  We even do it during lunchtime, so you can be off the clock while you attend.  Additional, we record all Free Sessions, so you can watch them at your convenience.
  • The Free-Session is a great opportunity to learn about a technical topic, regardless of whether or not you intend to take the full course.  You will get an overview of the material that will be presented in the class, so there is great educational value, even if you never take the class.
  • The Free-Session allows prospective full course students to “kick the tires” before registering for the course, and to determine if this is a good course for them.  Students will see an overview of the topics to be covered in the class, and will meet the instructor.  If there are additional areas that you would like to see covered in the course, you can discuss this with the instructor during the Q&A period at the Free-Session; our instructors make every effort to accommodate such requests.

Free Sessions offered by ATI are an excellent way to make your training funds go further.

ATI has started to add Recordings of Free Sessions to the Course Pages on our website.  For many of our courses, you can view a recording of a free session for that course.  We will be adding more Free Session recordings to our web page soon.  As an example of this feature, ATI offers a course called Nuclear Weapons and Strategic Deterrence taught by Dr. Jon Bierce.  If you go to the course page for this course, you will find a link to Jon’s informative Free Session.  You can view that session here.  If this course interests you, or if any course you see interests you, please let us know so we can add it to our schedule if it is not already there.
